With the help of Chef Vitor Sobral, Oliveira da Serra surprised the market by releasing the range Sabores: ‘Garlic’, ‘4 Peppers’ and ‘Aromatic Herbs’.
The pop-up cap on Oliveira da Serra bottles marked a small but significant revolution in the Portuguese olive oil industry. It was unveiled at the 31st edition of ModaLisboa and received the World Star Design Packaging award. Developed in collaboration with a plastics engineering firm, the pop-up cap enhances the bottles' hygiene and functionality while allowing the olive oil to be poured in a finer, more precise drizzle.
In 2010, Oliveira da Serra took another step forward in its commitment to ‘Good, for Earth’ by building an iconic olive mill, reinforcing Portugal's position as one of the world's major olive oil producers.
The olive mill Lagar do Marmelo, located in Ferreira do Alentejo next to Herdade do Marmelo, designed by Portuguese architect Ricardo Bak Gordon, pays homage to Portuguese olive groves and represents the pinnacle of technology in the service of olive oil quality and environmental sustainability."

A new format that offers everyone a practical and fun way to use olive oil both at the table and in cooking.

Bearing in mind all mothers and their children, Oliveirinha was created in 2015, a special olive oil that is milder and perfect for babies aged 6 months to 3 years old.
Oliveira da Serra launches two olive oil-based piri-piri sauces, Audaz and Extra Audaz, designed to make meals more enjoyable, encouraging people to experience new flavours and daring to be bold.
The plastic packaging of Oliveira da Serra products has become more sustainable and easier to recycle.
20% recycled plastic has been incorporated and the pigment used has been reduced by 50%, from 0.30% to 0.15%, allowing greater recyclability of the packaging. In addition, all glass bottles have been redesigned and start presenting paper labels."
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Oliveira da Serra released Azeite Ajuda Extra (Extra Help Olive Oil), donating 30,000 litres of extra virgin olive oil to the Food Emergency Network of the Food Bank Against Hunger (Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome), coming to aid of the most disadvantaged families.
This year, Oliveira da Serra is strengthening its sustainability strategy by partnering with Too Good To Go, a platform that offers products and meals that would potentially end up being wasted and sells them below the normal price in the form of Magic Boxes.
With the goal of creating a positive impact throughout the entire food cycle, Oliveira da Serra is introducing a new brand positioning that reinforces the purpose embedded in its DNA—the belief that a product should not only be good, but also do good. Based on the slogan ‘O Bom, pela Terra’ (Good, for Earth), Oliveira da Serra invites all Portuguese to do more together for the planet, now more than ever, sowing good ideas and making positive changes that may contribute to the planet.
Continuing its positioning and commitment to ‘Good, for Earth’, Oliveira da Serra will releaseh a new bottle made of 100% recycled plastic in 2025.
