Ingredients

to taste: Oliveira da Serra Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

250 ml milk

60g unsalted butter, cubed

15 g yeast

500g white flour

100g sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons of Nutella

30 g chopped hazelnuts

Cooking Mode

  1. Start by heating the milk. Add the cubed butter, stirring constantly. Set aside.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Beat briefly, then add the yeast, one egg, and the milk with the butter. Using an electric mixer on low speed, beat some more. Increase the speed and continue beating until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and shape it into a ball. Grease a bowl with olive oil and place the dough inside. 4. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise inside the oven for 2 hours.
  4. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise inside the oven for 2 hours.
  5. Remove the dough from the bowl and place it on a lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Do not roll the dough too thin.
  6. On one half of the rectangle, spread the Nutella, sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts, and drizzle with a little olive oil. Fold the other half of the rectangle over the filling. Roll the dough lightly once more to seal the two parts together.
  7. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°C.
  8. Cut the rectangle into 2-cm strips. Roll each strip into a log, starting by tucking one end inside.
  9. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with beaten egg. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with more chopped hazelnuts and serve!
